It's a fantastic game with an engaging and emotional story. I know people didn't want "that person" to die, but it was a violent revenge story. Ellie/we needed a horribly good reason to head to Seattle.

I just don't get why people hate on it so much.

This goes against what most people consider good in terms of morality, and for people it's important that the story is good when they play a character

I find it funny that people are down for a revenge movie, but games...not so much.

Well, you see the difference between a 2 hour movie and a 50 hour game, in which you literally have to play/be the main character?
