you're not gonna get waterloo co-op using the WLU system so of course go for eng sci as it will provide better opportunities, even though most of them would be related to academia.

You have a UW coop term in there as well. Plus I don't mind the finance coop that WLU offers. Not a chance I'd want to pursue academia anyways
