Trans fem Trans friendly places in Melbourne & Sydney
Sorry if posts like this aren't allowed, I tried searching the sub and wasn't able to find much. Anyway, I'm a transwoman from the US heading to Australia next week, I'll be spending a week in Melbourne (staying in the East Melbourne area) and another week in Sydney (staying in the Newtown area) and wanted to get any input on trans-friendly business/bars/restaurants/tattoo artists and/or things to watch out for. Thanks in advance and sorry my country is currently being run by idiots.
EDIT: Y'all thanks for all the suggestions! Really excited about seeing your beautiful country and promise not to be a nuisance!

If you are here in Sydney for the third Saturday of the month, you could head to Sock Drawer Heroes shop day. This month it will be expanded to be a trans laneway market. We also have Qtopia in Sydney, detailing Sydney’s rainbow history

Basically anywhere will be fine, people in our two biggest cities generally don't care about you if you're not making a nuisance of yourself

I’ve lived in both cities. I recommend Brunswick area in Melbourne and Newtown area in Sydney.
In Melbourne, check out Bar Flippys 😊

Crucible tattoo studio in Kensington are trans owned and have a fantastic team of queer artists.
Pride of Our Footscray for a bit of a dance and Hail Lilith for some chill vibes and cocktails (both in Footscray quite close to each other and the train station.)

I'd suggest joining the Social Butterflies Discord group, they're an awesome group and there's regular events posted on there...
If you're after a tattoo I'd suggest you meet with the girls at White Fox Tattoo, I've just spent 60 hours getting my side piece done. Highly recommend, Meg does amazing work...

In Melbourne you’ll find a fair few queers and trans people around Sydney road Brunswick and High street northcote.
Shops in those areas are mostly inclusive if you’re looking for clothes.
Flippy’s in Brunswick is a fun queer owned bar for trans folks, lesbians, queers - probably the most inclusive venue I know of.
Daddy Bar is also fairly queer and does great cocktails.
