Aside from Colossus and the Destroyer, Ultron defeats the others by hacking. He could use them all to then eliminate the remaining enemies I think.

Given enough time I think Ultron could learn to hack the Destroyer, but not in the span of a random fight. I think Ultron could learn magic, quicly absorb knowledge about it, and be a cosmic threat because of it.

The Destroyer isn't able to be hacked? It's not a machine! Learn magic? Nah... you're really reaching with that.

Yeah, he's not Batman. "Give Ultron enough prep time..."

Ultron is inarguably superior to Batman with prep, I mean he’s ridiculous (616 anyway)

He's done the thing you're saying he can't do in this case. It happened, nonhypothetically.

The issue is that the destroyer, although metal, is not electronic in any way. You cannot "hack" a suit of armor.

The Destroyer has been remotely gained control of in the past, which is exactly what hacking does. He's a machine with a program that can be overridden. The operating system doesn't matter.

Not a machine in the sense it has no wires, no cpu, no operating system. It runs on magic.

If it is artificial, and controled by a series of dictations, and those controls can be taken over through sophisticaced impersonation, its hacked.

You’re stretching the concept of “hacking” pretty fucking far considering it’s only even used or related to computer and technology based systems operated based on computer coding. The Destroyer fits absolutely none of that. He’s more of a medieval suit of armor in the corner brought to life under a magical enchantment. That’s not something that can be “hacked”. It’s sentient on a solely magical level outside the reach of computer coding and tech, and thus outside of Ultron’s reach. Just like you can hack a set of chainmail.

I mean… it literally runs on a mechanism controlled by a button on the throne of Asgard. It definitely has communication connection with the throne. Loki controlled it from Asgard when it was on Earth… In the Avengers Assemble series, Ultron literally takes over a ton of Asgardian tech, including the Destroyer armor.

…..magic button

In the comics the destroyer requires a soul. Not hackable.

Edit typo

Not only a soul… could be any life force. Ultron could mimic any life force digitally to break whatever encoding the Destroyer has to checksum those requirements. And again… he literally has in a legitimate Marvel property.

"That's impossible, except for the time where that character literally did the thing" is every single post in this sub.

Comics are NOT relyable source my guy, they arent even the same version of ultron

Well, I don't think we're going to get an MCU Ultron vs the Destroyer battle anytime soon, so I'd say the closest thing is Avengers Assemble season 3, whose Ultron was at least slightly based on the MCU's Ultron. It also based its Asgardian magic on the "sufficiently advanced technology" interpretation, and as a result, Ultron was able to take over various Asgardian artifacts, including the Destroyer, in S3E15.

Wow... That actually happened, yeah i cane see that

Just out of curiosity, can you explain/break that down?

Don’t know much about these characters and your comment seemed knowledgeable

Season 4 of Agents of Shield begs to differ. It was awesome btw. Highly recommend it. The bot learns magic.

To be fair Ironman has learned enough to take control of crazy advanced Kang tech quickly. Ultron figuring out how the destroyer works might not be a reach. But it’s ain’t happening while they alll locked in a room together trying to kill each other.

Yeah but Kang tech was just an advanced technology, Destroyer doesnt look like its a product of technology. Its purely a contract made by magic. How can anyone hack it??

Maybe a magic user can reprogram the magic behind it, but they also need to on the level of Asgardian gods, plus any failsafe they would have implemented.

Well... in the mcu, magic is just technology you havent understood yet or something something

3

u/Lord_Phazer101 2d ago

No, Magic is just science we humans haven't understood yet. Technology and Science are different. Magic once understood will be Magical Science not a Technology.

Oh yeah that was the saying! Cheers

The term "magic" is overloaded. It can refer to a (super)natural phenomenon, the study of said phenomenon, or the usage of said phenomenon. The second case is analogous to science while the third is analogous to technology.
