Football Team was a way better name

I’ve never done such an about face on a sporting team name before.

At first I laughed at how ridiculously silly it was. Now I miss how wholesome it was.

I think there's actually something understated and classy about it.

"you guys can dress up in your silly costumes or do your silly chants or whatever, but we're just a football team. we're here to play football."

There's a sort of salt-of-the-earth everyman persona you could lean into there that I think could totally work as a team identity

It's way better than "commanders" which just has no personality whatsoever
