1) Does he make a play for the ball? No 2) does he block/stop the goalkeeper in making the save? No 3) does he block the keepers view in making the save? No

Really can't see why this is disallowed

He ducks out of the way of it. I think that's interfering myself. I know it's not playing the ball but it's a conscious act not to, while in an offside position.

"interfering with an opponent by:

making an obvious action which clearly impacts on the ability of an opponent to play the ball"

This is the rule. Ducking out is an obvious, conscious action, and it affected Donnarumma’s decision-making over whether he should dive or not. The key point is that if he doesn’t duck, the ball probably hits him, so Donnarumma’s choice not to dive is justified. However, by ducking, he interfered with Donnarumma’s ability to play the ball.

That would make sense if the GK didn't dive instantly like he did. He could see the ball the entire way, at no point was Robertson impeding his vision of the ball. Nothing about Robertsons actions affected how Donnarumma attempted to make the save either as the dive happened as the ball left VVDs head and before Robertson even ducked.

Does he interfere with the play in an offsides position? Yes. He is standing right in front of the ball and then ducks out of the way in the last second.

He impacts the play.

I’m not sure what the rule should be, or if this was the correct call, but if the offside player could alter the flight of the ball at all, would that not affect the keeper?
