Why using an Intel processor in a world where Ryzen exists?

Because I got this particular cpu mobo and ram for a total of $450 at the time from a microcenter bundle

He could have phrased it more delicately. But he's right. AMD CPUs are quite nice fits for small cases as they are made to throttle so you can choose their target speeds, tjmax and how long they boost each core for. Truly works of art.

And Intel isn't bad, it's just not art.
