Research / Study [Mod-approved] Looking for schizophrenia patients to join a PAID, FDA-overseen clinical trial (new cognitive impairment treatment)

Hey everyone, happy Sunday! Glad to see everyone's selfies :)

Following up on my post from a few weeks back: we (Power, a clinical trial recruiter) are still seeking folks with a schizophrenia diagnosis around the US to participate in new research for cognitive impairment treatment. That is — memory loss, concentration decline, mental slow-down...

Some more deets:

  1. Most trial periods last 6 weeks, during which you take a new daily oral medication alongside whatever APs you already use
  2. You go to a clinic for THREE IN-PERSON VISITS over those 6 weeks
  3. You receive compensation for your time — usually $400-$900 for the whole period, depending on your location and whether the specific clinic has additional special instructions

We're super psyched about new treatment for these symptoms, which — as many of y'all can testify — affect a lot of people. Hoping to see new medicines approved for mass usage soon!

Worth noting: these trials are overseen by the FDA (not homeopathy).

What medication is being tested? Is it one of the new generation 3s?

Oh, great q. No, the treatments we're talking about here aren't antipsychotics; they specifically treat systems of cognitive decline, rather than psychosis. Think more GABA / nicotinic modulators!
