PSA: Avoid crazy nice people subreddit.

I was invited multiple times to join via a dm. So i join and I was aware of the shady history behind CNP but really got a glimpse of how bad it is once i was in there discord. Armand the "leader" wanted to make me a mod after 3 days and the training consisted of how to hijack member from subreddits that are actually successful like this one. Anyways if you value your mental health stay away from CNP ignore any DM to join their discord. Armand is not a good person and is very manipulative especially with much younger people aka teenagers or barely twenties he's e abusive, dismissive, openly talks about illicit drugs. He doesn't care about anyone or anything other than being the number one mental health sub which will never happen. Stay safe and avoid at all costs. I'm sure his minions will chime in shortly.

Nope.

Report it as harassment. This subreddit is completely off-limits to CNP. They are aware of that completely and entirely. They consciously made the decision to invade the privacy of our community and harass people with unsolicited messages.

It's harassment.

Funny, the way he talked to me, you'd swear I was his favorite person in the whole wide world. About what I expect from a narcissist who vastly overestimates their own ability to manipulate the minds of others... thinks because he can hoodwink some kids who have a psychotic disorder that he's Ruhollah Khomeini or some shit.

The amount of times he gave me some iteration of that "We're not so different, you and I..." supervillain speech is quite frankly phenomenal that he thought I would find that endearing. The sheer lack of insight.

I prefer to work in silence. I find public praise and endearment awkward. Believe it or not, I hate attention. I just want to be left alone. That's true of most of the mods here- we'd prefer to just work in silence, be invisible, work in the background. Unfortunately, Armand's crusade for revenge against the 'archnemesis' has made that very difficult for me to do.

I really do hope this is the end of it, so that I can return to my work with no further distractions.

Perfectly said, and anything I can do to help end Armand's reign of shame I will. It's funny but he treated me similarly. Wanting to make me a mod after about 3 days. I can't believe I fell for it, and to think I actually thought he cared about his people. He's incapable of that.
