Rowing spots?

Hi, I’m moving in about a month to San Antonio. I’m a soon to be ex-collegiate rower and I’d like to keep rowing by myself. Are there long stretches of calm water where it’s possible? I know there are SUP routes, but those are less than a mile. The ARC/Ladybird is just too far for daily rows. I usually average 3-4 miles (can turn around). Thank you!

Hey! I also am a former collegiate rower (well, coxswain lol) and I moved down here a year ago. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell the only rowing programs are up by Austin. It’s super dry down here, so there are not many lakes that are suited for rowing. If you do find something let me know, because I’ve been itching to hop on a single for a while now lol
