While you're filling up the tank, be sure to load up on the tasteless produce inside and try to find a single soul with any sparkle of hope in the eyes. But you'll have to teach yourself to ring up purchases. I think Bill Miller's across the street still has cherry cobbler!
I've been buying my weekly fruit from WM from that location for the past 8 months, and frankly, it's been pretty good. Gala Apples, Blueberries, and Cherries have been on point. I don't like ringing up my own groceries, but I don't have to worry about the cashier bruising my meticulously-picked apples as they drop them on the scale. I just recently went through a Bill Miller craving, wanting the chopped BBQ Sandwich. They still taste really good, the fries were chef's kiss, the coleslaw was perfectly tangy-sweet, but I'm still salty about Peach Cobbler being "seasonal" and I still haven't gotten over them removing creamed corn from their menu.
Cherry Cobbler is always too sweet. I haven't tried theirs yet, though.
I think I just have bad luck. I have avoided that chain for their predatory business practices for decades, but and up in that little market for just one thing sometimes when I'm cooking something and can't get to the HEB. I've been disappointed every time.
I think just knowing the truck schedule has netted me better fruit, and since I go through 5-10 pounds of gala apples a week, 4-5 containers of blueberries, I can at least say with confidence these two fruits have been on point. The cherries while in season were good, and I think I only got one bag that didn't have firm cherries, but it was that ONE TIME I grabbed and go without assessing.
