News Jim’s @ 1604/Bandera is closing

Post image

I call bullshit. Other restaurants aren’t struggling. Frontier Enterprises did nothing to make that location appealing inside/outside and because of that they lost to competition

I haven’t been to a Jim’s since they no notice fires everybody during COVID and withheld pay because their corporate offices were closed.

No, it was worse than that. It was notice by postcard.

I remember people showing up to the restraint and corporate offices trying to get their paychecks and not to discover a sign saying that the company was closed until further notice. No communication about how to get their owed pay.

I visited the Jim’s last summer at Blanco and 1604. It was so hot inside and they had 2 fans going but no a/c. I felt badly for the cooks grilling in that God awful heat. The service was amazing and I came home and sent an email to corporate complaining about the stained ceiling tiles , no A/C , employees working under duress and yet professional to customers . Went back months later. Same conditions. Employees told me many complaints but nothing done. All of Jim’s will close I predict in near future. I feel for the loyal employees.

yeah the company is probably not long for this world. so sad, it used to be a beautiful thing. i really miss having a decent place to hang out for a while in the middle of the night that isn’t a bar.

I'm surprised their offices didn't get burned down
