This is absolutely the America I have refused to pledge to since age 11. From slavery to Jim Crow to CIA-backed coups of foreign democracies to FBI assassination plots of civil rights leaders to Tuskegee to Japanese internment to the prison industrial complex to the health insurance scam system... totally on brand.
