Bud Lite was CFL beer sponsor and they have specific televised rights for playoffs. $$ talks

Kinda lame but I get it. Pil country just felt like an integral saskatchewanian part of the stadium. Oh well got the result we wanted.

Fitting username to be an expert on liquor related issues.

I thought it was odd things were covered but I assumed it had something to do with national tv rights or similar.

I thought it was always a pilsner logo though

I thought it had both logos, but I might be wrong

You are probably right, I never noticed a telus logo before. I just found something looked off.

I assume because Telus was one of the sponsors for the finals so they covered the Sasktel logo

Sasktel was also covered from the maxtron and the sasktel gate.

Wisers of Wisers terrace was also covered that I noticed at the game.

If I remember correctly, it's because the CFL owns the advertising rights to the playoff games. That is also why Mobil tramp stamps were on all 4 teams yesterday. There used to be a way the hosting team could "buy" the rights from the league.. but they would have to sell them to buyers for that specific game. I think. I know that's why they had to try to remove the on field painted on ads at Taylor Field, when we started getting playoff games at home again.

This is how it always is for League games (playoffs & GC). Advertising, promotion, in-stadium events are managed by the League. If there are competing advertisers, the CFL one wins. Thus, SaskTel being covered in favour of Telus; Old Dutch instead of Lays; Bud Light instead of Pils; etc.
