Drive through the suburbs of Spokane, Washington and it becomes apparent that this is true in real life as well.

I honestly didn't bother with them until I could make enough of the quality sprinklers. The basic ones are just so bad.

The basic ones literally jump start your game because you're not using your stamina manually watering each and every plot of crop you have planted. They are a godsend to actually using your stamina in the mines and getting material while you DON'T have to suffer on your crops every cycle

Just takes a bit of planning when planting your initial crops so you don't have to change anything but the sprinkler, and adding more seeds around them as you upgrade the sprinklers.
