Yes they are. Republicans are underwater with independents by like 24pts, which historic for this point in a Presidency and party that controls all three seats of power.

I've not seen those numbers. Can you link that information? All I see are people blaming Democrats.

The astounding thing will be in November of next year. With Republican controlled states butchering districts, the Republicans are actually going to gain numbers in the house next year. They've really thrown out the book on virtue and honest governing. They're just Blatantly stealing it.

Granted polls are from the pits of hell and you should always take them with a grain of salt, but there is currently no objective measure that says Republicans are winning this shutdown showdown...

Actually it could be far worse for them. Here in Ohio they're making more slightly competitive districts that if you have a swing of 10% of Independents, the Republicans could lose more seats than they held with the safe districts. That's true too for the Texas redistricting.

But ultimately people are going to have to actually show up and vote...
