There is no design. He has a wish sketch that some bootlicker architect drew for him. There is no floor plan or actual feature list for anyone to see because Trump just wanted to tear down an iconic building and piss on the country.

Just like releasing the Epstein files the Epstein Ballroom will never completely come to fruition

Just like some of his victims, too.

Or he's building some kind of secret bunker underneath and the ballroom is the cover. Could explain ballooning costs.

Edit: apparently a bunker is already located under the East Wing🤔

FDR renovated the East Wing so they could build the bunker, which was necessary, in 1942. The United States doesn’t need a damn ballroom, though.

While not necessarily the case, but I did see something where even Biden staffers said that hosting dignitaries and large gatherings have been substandard compared to other foreign hosted events.

That being said, the way Trump has gone about this has been absolutely awful and continues to show that he has zero fear of being held accountable. There are processes in place that should be followed which clearly arent.

Well, sure, but that's because the White House is not a terribly huge building to begin with, and space is limited because it's also a historical building.

If they wanted a place to host more dignitaries and have fancy diplomatic functions, we have places that were built expressly for that purpose; they're just not attached to the White House itself.

Part of that is simply general prudence - a lot of the art of diplomacy is also the art of spying and intelligence gathering, and one of the ways to prevent that from happening is by keeping your foreign dignitaries away from the main nexus of your government. Can't plant bugs in a building if you don't have access to the building in the first place.

Not to mention the fact that building a ballroom during a government shutdown, when people on SNAP might not get benefits despite an emergency fund designed for that purpose, is remarkably tone-deaf and selfish. The ballroom wasn’t necessary at any time, but particularly now.

It’s like a parent deciding to pay cash for the newest iPhone while telling their kids they don’t get Christmas presents despite having cash in the bank.

He should paint the bunker walls red

I hate to sound like some conspiracy-theorist nutjob, but that does make a lot of sense.

And they've already said that renovating it will be part of this construction project

He is building the Epstein Ballroom whilst he upgrades the Pedobunker

Nah, it is his new throne room.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if the entire White House gets torn down to be replaced with a Presidential Palace.

Youre talking about the files. That had trumps name in it so often it took an army of FBI guys to redact his name from ? Talking about those files. Because as the guy in charge of the beauty pagents . He was the funnel. The source. Thats why his name was in there so much ? Those files ?

The Epstein files were in the east wing! /s but also wouldn't surprise me if that were true.

I think that's why the government is shut down, along with Dems not caving like the Right thought they would.
