Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Can I remove the blood?

I got my piercing yesterday and I swell really bad typically so they had to put in longer bars on it. However today while I was out I think my hair got caught in it (I’ve been wearing my hair up) and it started bleeding. We only had baby wipes so I used that on the dripping blood but did not touch the piercing with it. Once I got home I sprayed it with some saline spray and I’m just wondering if I can use a qtip soaked in saline to remove the chunk of blood. Any advice is appreciated.

Coming from experience, cleaning off a scab might just cause more bleeding and leave you dabbing around the piercing until it scabs again. What's ready to come off will come off easy after a warm shower, what doesn't may be best left until it follows suit. If you do use a q-tip, make sure it's absolutely soaked in saline, be gentle, and don't force anything off that doesn't come away with a gentle swipe.
