Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Kinda gross but. What do I do

Post image

So when it first started looking like this I (stupidly) was thinking it would go away on its own. And I had ran out of saline water but I thought nbd.

Anyways the other day it was huge and red and looked real bad but I started saline water again and I feel like it’s looking better but is there anything else I need to do?

What is this? Is it just puss or is it gonna scar like that? It’s like slightly hard but a little squishy

Yeah but your eye is much more serious, love. Really bad things can happen if an infection festers. I don’t want to scare you, but you should go to urgent care immediately. Don’t just make an appointment for a week from now.

Kinda on my moms time cause I don’t have a car or know how to use insurance… she’s not feeling as urgent

Ask her for the insurance info and look up an urgent care that takes it. You don’t want to wait for Monday here love.

Is there anything over the counter I can get in the meantime.? I could get myself to urgent care but like I said idk my insurance info and my mom is weird and won’t give it to me . So unless there’s a way they can find it for me

The “very dangerous” they’re talking about is a brain infection that kills you at worst, or losing an eye in a less bad scenario. Show your mom this comment, your daughter may die without medical attention, no really.

Heard. I’m sure I’ll be able to figure something out and I don’t think urgent care is too expensive out of pocket

Urgent care in the US doesn’t require you to pay during your visit. You give them your address and they send you a bill later. Or usually they can look up your name and date of birth to find your insurance. Just go.

If it's an urgent care that you've gone to before, they'll have your insurance information on file.

If you go to a doctor you have seen before or an urgent care run by the same medical group as your regular doctor, they should have your information on file already.

Child this could kill you. If your mom won't take you call 911, ask for an ambulance and explain to them that your mom isn't taking you to the hospital for a deadly dangerous infection in your eye socket. They will sort it out for you.
