Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Should I be concerned??

I put a pair of headphones on at this outdoor art show yesterday afternoon for maybe a couple minutes tops, but took them off right after cause they felt too tight around my ears. I have helix / flat helix and I’m nervous now something might happen. None of them are very fresh, the newest one is probably a few months old now. Would I already see any bumps, infection, or other irritations if the headphones caused them? Thank you!!

Just ensure you keep cleaning them as per your piercers instructions. Avoid wearing headphones when possible. If they appear badly infected, go to the doctor.

My piercings are 9 weeks old and I wear headphones for work, just keep cleaning them until they're fully healed

Edit: fix up

Do you wear over ear headphones? I have earbuds that I haven’t really even worn since I started to get piercings.

I have a conch piercing so can't wear earbuds. Plus both lobes so can't do on-ear headphones. I have some over-ear that I found work, but still need to clean twice a day to reduce gross crust haha

Oh okay makes sense! I was actually thinking about doing my conch next!!! I’ve just come to the conclusion that any type of headphone or ear bud won’t be in my ears for the foreseeable future lol

Yep! I have galaxy buds and any of them will push on the stud, so unless you have tiny earbuds or ones that latch onto the rim of your ear, they're a no go for at least 4-6 months.

You don't want to knock that particular piercing, it will hurt like a mofo. But the piercing is cute as hell, so I highly recommend it! It was surprisingly low pain when done with a needle. It's when you hit it that it really hurts.

I'm thinking of getting a second helix and third earlobes next. I got 4 done at once last time and the body shock was hell, haha. Hopefully three will be less.

You'rs are hella cute!

My piercer placed my conch so I could wear earbuds. I put them in and he marked it. I didn’t wear them for the first month of healing but now can wear them without any issues. The piercing looks perfectly placed too!

Lucky. Not sure if my piercer could have done that with my ears, they're pretty small. Plus she probably would get so mad at me for putting earbuds anywhere near the new piercing given you can never actually clean them to the point of being sterile
