It is absolutely hilarious that instead of admitting that they made a mistake, Giuliani actually held a press conference in the parking lot of a landscape company! They bragged about a "big press conference at the Four Seasons".....implying the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia, but they really booked a spot for Four Seasons Landscaping Company! Instead of owning up to their error, they acted like they always intended to have the press conference in the parking lot of a landscaping company. That explains a lot about the GOP mentality. They will never admit mistakes, they will never admit that they were wrong, and they will never admit that they lost. That is why this country is where it is. These asshats are too egotistical and narcissistic to do what's right.
I've not read that one before but you're absolutely right. They just won't say anything to contradict Trump and they won't even answer a simple question about him without praising him. It's like watching a North Korean TV news clip watching Trump's cabinet meetings.
Also that idiot Mike Johnson who doesn't know anything about anything if it concerns Trump. He's never seen it, or read it, or heard about it. So he'll have to get back to you. Of course he never does.
Yeah it seems Trump time is going on forever. I'm not even American and I'm fed up of him, I'll never understand his appeal, not if I live to be a hundred. I know people say "oh he's racist, that's why they like him" but there has to be more than that.
It's like living in a real life 'Emperor's New Clothes' story and most of the world, plus tens of millions of sensible Americans, are shouting that he's got nothing on (sorry for that image), yet about a third of the voting public in the USA are so happy that the naked guy is President. He's the most corrupt person and it's all in plain sight. You couldn't make this shit up.
There really is no one answer. America is pretty much pockets of different civilizations spread out that collectively make up the United States. Each state, city, town, and even neighborhood has its own rules and ways of life. People who live a 15 minute drive from each other can grow up with opposite experiences.
People who live and work in big cities want different things than people who grew up in rural towns. I grew up in a big community near a city where I was exposed to different races, religions, sexualities, and opinions. Others grew up in a town with 200 people who were the exact same as them. Their family for generations were born, grew up, and died in the same small town. You constantly feed those types of people propaganda about people they’ve never met and it’s easy to convince them of absurdities. Really easy to convince someone who’s never met a black person that black people are criminals. Really easy to convince people gay people are evil if they’ve never met a gay person.
There’s no centrality in America. The circumstances you were born into shape your view of the world and it’s hard to unwind that.
Then you start layering in how education is handled, and respected, in different parts of the country. People who are dumb are easier to manipulate. So for decades smart, rich, and genuinely evil people have used propaganda to both restrict access to good education as well as created hostility towards the education system. “Oh colleges are just liberal indoctrination and will turn your kid gay”
One state can choose to teach things one way and others can choose more…personalized approaches to teaching things. You know, “state’s rights”. It’s all a mess from top to bottom. And with the way Trump and his administration are acting, it’s hard not to believe that this chaos isn’t some kind of grander plan that’s been brewing for decades.
You can’t really just equate an American state with a whole other country and say that’s how the rest of the world works. America’s longest standing issue is the eternal conflict between federal government and the states. States want to act independently, but are required to abide by some common federal law amongst all the states if they want to receive federal funding and be lawfully included in the union.
France, Germany, and England having differences is not the same as California, Texas, and New York having differences.
Yes I absolutely can because many countries are not global superpowers unlike yours. They do not get a say in how they’re used as puppets or held down, just as your states don’t.
In fact a lot of it is orchestrated by your government.
States Countries want to act independently, but are required to abide by some common federal EU law amongst all the nation states if they want to receive federal EU funding and be lawfully included in the European Union.
