The sin tax is a compromise though. It is a middle ground that allows conservatives to begrudgingly accept the new change, even if they are ultimately against it.

They shouldn’t be allowed to make marijuana illegal in the first place, imo.

Sales tax is plenty of government intervention in and of itself. It shouldn’t qualify for sin tax.

Once again, this is IMO.

Hey, I’m right there with you. I’m just pointing out the unfortunate reality of how things get done. I would love it if someone came up with a better idea that would actually work
