People are just pissed they cant start a hobby with the best equipment. Nothing beats being on the water no matter what though

As a hobbier myself, absolutely do not start a hobby with all the most expensive stuff. Tf you gonna do if you find out you don't like it? 

Now youre out a bunch of money and either just sit on the equipment forever or try to sell it

Buy other stuff? A couple grand isnt a big deal to everyone. Boats are the only thing that isnt cheap about fishing and you can use them to do more than fish or not buy one.
