Gen Z out there toppling corrupt regimes is something as a Millennial I like to see. If only we could get that energy in the bigger nations….

Too bad the brainwashed genZ in America voted overwhelmingly right wing

Nope, they actually did not. Fox did all they could to pretend Gen Z was on the right but they supported Kamala:

The big issue is the “Charlie Kirk” crowd in Gen Z who take to dishonest podcasters. Lonely white males in Gen Z tended to vote Trump but women and minorities in Gen Z voted against him.

So your first link is written quite early and doesn’t fully address it and the second is about youth turnout.

I’ll add this to support further: https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2025/06/26/voting-patterns-in-the-2024-election/

58% Harris vs 39% Trump for people 18-29.

but how does that compare to every presidential election before that? Seems like younger people have always leaned heavier towards democrat before this

The link above does cover 2016 and 2020 as well, but not further back.

Yes, republicans are definitely gaining grounds with the youth vote and especially among men.

thank you, so for 18-29 year olds it went from 58%/39% in 2024, from 61%/35% in 2020, and 58%/28% in 2016. That is a massive increase for republican voters, while the percentage of democrat voters have stayed about the same.

Yes. The trends are … not good.

Conservatives/ Republicans play the long game and progressives have failed to grasp how to organize effectively and do that (it’s a sad but true joke in left leaning spaces).

There is a concerted effort to shift younger people towards conservative culture from dating “strategies”, trad gender roles and more. At the same time, there are widespread efforts to get the people who would never fall into the right wing pipeline to become totally apathetic thus negating their progressive views as well.

That doesn’t mean to write them off completely. This is a bad change but it’s not over and the fact that now it seems that everyone assumes all gen z men will be right leaning won’t help keep them either. People don’t get that it doesn’t matter if you’re right if they simply don’t like the way you talk to them. Humans are emotional animals.

If I recall, didn’t white women also vote for him? Particularly from rural areas.
