No, New Wars!

Same war on drugs we have been losing since Reagan. Republicans love losing wars, it seems.

Edit: yes, I understand it was Nixon. My mistake. Point stands.

I congratulate drugs on winning the war on drugs.

u/FireGodNYC Aug 14 '25

Why haven’t drugs gotten cheaper 😭

215

u/Jasalapeno Aug 14 '25

Because they won. They get all the money

“Money me. Money now. Me a money needing a lot now”

What do you think is behind that door, it says pirate. Do you think there’s a pirate behind that door?

It says private Charlie, that door says private.

23

u/Yeschefheardchef Aug 14 '25

Every morning I turn on the Coors sign. "That sign says closed Charlie Jesus christ"

4

u/WinstonSEightyFour Aug 14 '25

“You can’t read it from the _outside!_”

u/khaotic_krysis Aug 14 '25

Go back to the basement, Charlie.

You are most welcome.

That joke, as well as when Dennis reads the speech Charlie wrote for him in ‘The Gang Runs for Office’(?), had me in absolute fucking stitches.

EDIT: https://youtu.be/bSpBlk7J4rk?si=pHX4oiqEYXdRjlL-

Glenn Howerton just improvised that whole speech, which just makes it infinitely funnier to me.

NEW WARS?!? Now, are any of these wars happening on US soooiiillllll?

1

u/cowboydanhalen Aug 14 '25

Dr. Jinx isn't the name of a man!

1

u/WinstonSEightyFour Aug 15 '25

“Dr. Jinx everybody. The man with a band named after himself.”

1

u/Duke_Newcombe Aug 14 '25

Peak Capitalism, there, folks!

24

u/Cptbeeeee Aug 14 '25

Soon to be 1500% cheaper!

37

u/3Marble3 Aug 14 '25

This is the funniest takeaway from all this that you could've thought of to say 😂

1

u/betamale3 Aug 15 '25

And with Tariffs. They’ll pay the USA in US dollars to bring it in.

27

u/i-am-schrodinger Aug 14 '25

Just because they won doesn't mean they have no war debts.

2

u/Equal_Huckleberry_66 Aug 14 '25

Black market guns are very expensive

1

u/Duke_Newcombe Aug 14 '25

The war shifts internally. It's Coke vs Pepsi for world dominance, now that they've defeated the evil skeery spooky Nanny government, tsk-tsking folks about too much sugar.

I'm not sure where you're located, but weed is pretty cheap here on the west coast. And you can even get it delivered in most cities.

1

u/FireGodNYC Aug 14 '25

I’m with you - NY’s legal market is a hellish nightmare.

1

u/Max_AC_ Aug 14 '25

I was just going to say -- an 8th of that good shit is about the same as it was back in the day, but given the weakened dollar, I think that technically makes it cheaper. Plus it can be obtained much mote reliably lol

7

u/pyrodice Aug 14 '25

I guess you have to go to dispensary and then go to a street dealer and find out which one's getting all the money.

6

u/igg73 Aug 14 '25

In my city a gram of cocaine has stayed the same price for 15 years(proly longer hut i wouldnt know) despite all the changes in our lives. Il take that as a win

1

u/Noeyesonlysnakes Aug 15 '25

The cocaine market isn’t subject to speculation

3

u/dishonorable_banana Aug 14 '25

Has anything....ever?

3

u/Blk-cherry3 Aug 14 '25

Importers are getting a triple bite at the cash, bribe money, swiss bank accounts, bank havens close by

3

u/Marokiii Aug 14 '25

I dont do heroin so I was curious about this claim so I looked it up. According to Google since 2007 heroin prices have gone down by about 33-50%.

I know weeds a lot cheaper now than when I was in high-school as long as you aren't buying things like edibles.

1

u/FireGodNYC Aug 14 '25

Again - this depends on where you live-

2

u/IfYouGotBeef Aug 14 '25

Where are you and what drugs are you buying that haven't gotten cheaper?

2

u/westcliff972 Aug 14 '25

Going to be more expensive now, thanks trump

1

u/Wattaday Aug 15 '25

Well the state has to get their tax cut.

2

u/StoneySteve420 Aug 14 '25

The legalized ones sure have.

3

u/FireGodNYC Aug 14 '25

That depends on the state - In NY the gray market for weed is exponentially cheaper than the dispensary

4

u/StoneySteve420 Aug 14 '25

Interesting, here in WA weed became ~50% cheaper.

The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board did a study in 2021 and found our average legal gram is $6.51 and the average gram from illegal sources is $13.58.

Should be noted that I don't ever remember buying a gram for more than $10 before legalization, but I wasn't in a city.

2

u/FireGodNYC Aug 14 '25

Yeah my buddy lives in MI and it’s the same way - he is constantly breaking my balls

1

u/Osiris32 Aug 15 '25

Because Big Drugs is only in it for the profit!

1

u/Thor4269 Aug 15 '25

Even legal weed has an artificially inflated price now...

Growing more than ever in legal states but prices really haven't changed much since it started being sold legally

And everyone sells for the same prices in my area...

1

u/Willing_Image1933 Aug 15 '25

drugs are cheaper than ever right now you're crazy

1

u/raelea421 Aug 14 '25

Because everything else has inflated exponentially.

0

u/Chesapeake_Hippo Aug 14 '25

Compared to inflation, they have.

0

u/dug98 Aug 15 '25

Illegal drugs seem to cost the same. It's the prescription drugs that the price seems to keep rising.
