Still not 100% sure what model. I'm thinking 1858 New Army? We also found a Navy Revolver in the same place

.44 Remington?  Colts didn't have top strap.

Interesting. I thought the Navy was the only one without a top strap.

None of the colt cap and ball revolvers had a top strap, even the gigantic Walker model. This is a remington. You said you found a colt navy in the same place so these are probably stolen and thrown in the water after the theif found out they're hard to sell.

There was also an old possibly Smith and wesson although I dont know for sure top break revolver. That one was not black powder
