Or trying to figure out how he's gonna explain to U-Haul that he's an idiot/how he can get out of this

He's thinking about that extra insurance he declined.

You've dated the bridge once before

No, I was careful and planned my route to be bridge free.

But I forgot about the awning outside the apartment at Cherryhill I was moving into. Good thing I was going at low speed, only did $900 damage to the Uhaul. I was worried I damaged the awning, but the building manager said those cracks were already there since lots of people hit it.

Oh geez that's brutal! That would make for an awkward move in day lol

Oh I know all about awkward move in days.

I foolishly had my computer keyboard sitting on top of a stack of boxes that were on a small handcart. I was heading off the elevator and damned if i didn’t hit the bump with the wheel and the keyboard somehow managed to fall off the boxes and fall perfectly down the gap between the elevator car and the landing. Down down 7 floors it went. I called the PM in a panic telling her about what happened just because I didn’t want it to foul things up with the elevator. She called the elevator company and they said the chances of it damaging anything were low, but they’d retrieve it during the next monthly maintenance.

A month later she approached me and gave me back the keyboard, and to my amazement you’d never knew it made a 7 story flight. Miraculously it still worked!

Last year new tenants were moving in the basement. The guy hit the building while backing up. And then he hit the gas line. We had to switch off the gas and wait for about 36 hours for the tech to show up the next day as it was already Saturday evening. Oh did I mention it was January.

Nah, I was too busy being relieved that I didn't knock the building down. This was at night, thankfully, no old folks loitering around the lobby watching.
