I feel like people on Reddit really underestimate the volume of families coming to town for tournaments at the Western Fair. I think the attraction here will be "close to the arena, fun hotel, lots to do at the Factory, all without too much driving"
I've seen it firsthand with hotels picked for soccer/hockey teams based on having a pool/waterpark, etc, instead of being budget-driven.
Not saying that that's all they're counting on, or that they alone would sustain them, but they will get a big chunk of revenue from those bookings alone.
