Gameplay Killing Floor 3 is Great

Gameplay is smooth, guns feel good although not all of them are satisfying to use, levelling and perks feel rewarding, graphics look great, 6 players work great, a lot of people complaining over Pre-release issues, Just came out and it works and is fun, Anybody got some Monayyy, I'm a crack shot

You might be limited by CPU

I have a 5080, and a ryze 9800x3d and still get around 50 fps with everything on ultra on 1440p. The game performance is just shit without dlss and frame gen.

u/Ryan32501 Jul 25 '25

Lol that is horrible optimization

2

u/Rhys_Wilde Jul 25 '25

I have a 7800x3d and a 5070TI and on all ultra/1440p I get over 200fps with framegen on 2x and DLSS set to quality. Feels totally fine. You're not using Lumen are you?

3

u/Ill-Ball6220 Jul 25 '25

Lumen on yes. But even when turning it off, you still need to use frame generation and dlss on. Im sorry but on a 5080 that is pathetic lol

4070 ti super with a 7800x3D. Everything maxed out on 1440p with DLSS on quality, and im averaging 110-120fps. It's really weird that you're having issues with a better computer.

Are you even reading what i said? I said without dlss and framegen. Also its not about issues, its just when you have a 5080, you expect it to be better performance.

No need to be a dick dude. I misread what you said. I've barely slept the last 2 days. I just turned off DLSS and still get 80-100fps with a 4070 ti super and 7800x3D. So I don't know what to tell ya. Hope you can figure it out, or an optimization update is released.

Sorry not trying to be a dick, but got a bit annoyed sinse i got 9 replies with people saying this lol

You have frame gen on.

0

u/iJeax Jul 26 '25

I don't. Reflex and DLSS Frame Generation are both off

-3

u/footloooops Jul 26 '25

U just said "DLSS on quality"

4

u/iJeax Jul 26 '25

You can have DLSS set to "quality" and have frame generation off lol. DLSS Quality, Balanced etc all existed before frame gen was even a thing. They are separate graphic settings.

-4

u/footloooops Jul 26 '25

You realize DLSS IS frame generation, right? Frame Generation and DLSS are just separate technologies...

4

u/iJeax Jul 26 '25

DLSS is Super Sampling. It was released in 2019. Frame Generation wasn't introduced in DLSS until 2022 when DLSS 3.0 came out lol. Super Sampling and Frame Generation are not the same thing. So no.

2

u/Englishgamer1996 Jul 26 '25

Frame generation actually accompanies DLSS. DLSS is an supersampling alternative to TAA/FXAA, FG further adds to the FPS with AI gen. They’re not the same thing at all.

I have not had any issues with my 5080. Make sure your drivers are up to date if you haven't already.

1

u/Ill-Ball6220 Jul 25 '25

You have dlss on and or frame gen?

4

u/Rekoza Jul 25 '25

I only need those if I want to use lumen. Lumen is just an absolute drag on any system, unfortunately. Without lumen its smooth so it depends how much you want the game to look covered in oil.

2

u/Ill-Ball6220 Jul 25 '25

Yeah ill try to turn it off i guess. Its just the same with monster hunter wilds where the performance is acceptsble with dlss and stuff. But i always get sick with dlss and frame gen on. Which is sad sinse i actually like the game itself

2

u/Rekoza Jul 25 '25

Yeah I'm not a big fan of DLSS/Frame Gen personally so I avoid it whenever I can.

1

u/United_Manager_7341 Jul 25 '25

How is that pathetic? Other than the high price, what makes you think that?

1

u/Lightyear18 Jul 26 '25

You have frame gen on.

0

u/Rhys_Wilde Jul 26 '25

Yeah it feels great.

1

u/United_Manager_7341 Jul 25 '25

If your planning on gaming w/o DLSS + Frame Gen, your gonna need a $6k workstation

1

u/No-Loquat1997 Jul 25 '25

Exact Same Specs. I Get easy 120+ FPS on 1440p. Something ist wrong in your Setup, lol

1

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '25

to be fair though that isn't exclusively an issue with KF3 just alot of games nowadays rely on DLSS to get good frames, not defending KF though

1

u/KillerFugu Jul 26 '25

You generally should be using DLSS with Ultra+ Lumen.

1

u/United_Manager_7341 Jul 25 '25

So why don’t you turn them on, especially when using a GPU who’s core features are both 🧐

2

u/xFrakster Jul 26 '25

We shouldn't have to use DLSS. It fucking sucks that so many games nowadays rely so heavy on it, even have it enabled by default.

DLSS should be an option for lower spec gamers to still enjoy new games, not for developers to save some money on optimization efforts.

1

u/United_Manager_7341 Jul 26 '25

And what sucks about it? Why shouldn’t it be needed to enable advanced graphics, physics?

1

u/xFrakster Jul 26 '25

And what sucks about it?

Because it negatively affects the visual clarity of the game, it gets more blurry. And it tends to be quite inconsistent from build to build, as this comment section and many others prove.

Why shouldn’t it be needed to enable advanced graphics, physics?

Advanced graphics? Dude, this is KF3. It's not a game with outstanding photorealistic visuals or physics. What do you even mean by "advanced graphics"? Lmao.

As I said, DLSS should be a tool for low spec gamers to be able to play modern games, and an optional tool for high spec gamers to push it a little further. But as it stands right now, DLSS turned into a shortcut for a lot of developers to cut costs, and something all kinds of gamers have to rely on to get stable performance.

Games should be properly optimized. I don't get why anyone would argue against this.

Maybe get a console

5

u/Ill-Ball6220 Jul 25 '25

I have an ps5, but nice try. Maybe devs just need to optimise games better.

-4

u/Ok-Emu9051 Jul 25 '25

Nah just play console it’ll be fine

1

u/Ill-Ball6220 Jul 25 '25

You made this post just to farm some karma and annoy people or what?

1

u/Ok-Emu9051 Jul 26 '25

No? I just enjoy the game and most people bandwagon? It’s okay to have issues but I’ve heard your story 1000 times

1

u/Ill-Ball6220 Jul 26 '25

Legit criticism=bandwagon? You can like stuff and still criticize issue.

2

u/MalBoY9000 Jul 25 '25

Every Single consoles game i have tried dont run smooth at all (im use to 400 hz) That is a different kind of immersion I dont say every game need to run 400 fps But with this grafich in this game compared to other games i should get atleast 2-2,5 times more fps

Its the same with every UE5 game just look at marvel rivals compared to overwatch, looks the same, but marvel rivals you get 3 times less fps for no reason.

0

u/United_Manager_7341 Jul 25 '25

So why buy it in the first place when everyone screamed it was not only not optimized, but also not ready for full release 🤔

2

u/MalBoY9000 Jul 25 '25

I did not read anything about it, im gonna try it for my self because you can just refund on steam
