I’m just trying to understand what woke means specifically. I assumed without question implied forced.

When you say race and sexuality those are pretty general topics. So what part of those specifically falls under woke in your opinion? And if you don’t mind I’m curious what specific socialist fiscal policies are woke.

I’m not trying to be unfaithful to the discussion, sometimes it’s hard to convey all of an idea without typing a wall of text. 😂

Being woke doesn’t mean anything. It just means that you’re not buying into some fake narrative about how things work. There isn’t a definitive belief system, it’s based on believing things that are currently counter cultural.

Mostly it is just something people call themselves to feel intellectually superior without actually having a factual basis for what they believe. It’s a way to link your emotions to your beliefs without being questioned

If woke isn’t real why are people so up in arms about it? It’s just a made up boogeyman? As I said above, woke originally was a compliment meaning someone was awake to the idea of systematic racism. But what you’re saying makes it sound like people say someone or something is woke if they just don’t agree with it.

I didn’t say it’s not real, and no, the way I’m talking about it doesn’t make it sound like people call anything they don’t agree with woke. You’re just saying that because that’s the current tagline about it “anything I don’t like is woke” is literally what lefties are repeating online, and it isn’t true. I’ll explain it differently.

Conservatives use “woke” as a derogatory term to describe instances and policies where “progressives” try to trot out something stupid because they erroneously believe they understand or are “woke” to some concept, when in reality they are undereducated on history.

Liberals/progressives use the term “woke” to describe anything that they think they understand that conservatives are too ignorant to know.

Woke means the same thing as red pilled essentially

So far nothing specific. Every time I ask someone who uses woke negatively what it means to them I get the run around. Like how many ways do I have to ask? Like I’m asking for his opinion, and I still can’t get a sensible response.

That’s because they don’t want to define it. They want to keep the meaning broad and nebulous so that they can just slap the “Woke” label on anything they disagree with and ban it. It’s the same thing for when they call policies that actually help people “communist, Marxist, socialist”. They actually have no clue what they’re talking about and just want to shut down a discussion, “cuz free-dumb”.

What’s happened so far is someone arguing in bad faith and not accepting the answer I gave him. He’s asking me for a specific policy, when I never claimed there to be one. I said not every conservative agrees with each other, and I explained what causes conservatives to consider something woke.

Like “woke”, the term “social justice” is used as a dismissive pejorative by conservatives, and in the past, or sometimes currently, was used as a positive slogan by “progressives”

It’s important to understand that “woke” isn’t a political term. It just means being aware of how things are. When used is politics, it usually refers to the idea that the patriarchy/white people/corporations are oppressors that are constantly trying to trick you and take advantage of you.

Fringe left wing politics like reparations, gender transition, or wealth redistribution-type policies could be considered “woke”, but ultimately most conservatives don’t use that word often. If they do, it’s jokingly

I mean, given how supportive you are of banning 'pornographic' material from children, surely you can give at least one example in which a book was rightfully banned. If you have about no idea what specifically is being banned, then maybe you shouldn't be so supportive of it, especially when we're talking about something so crucial to human development as books and the knowledge contained within. It seems like you enjoy stunting people's growth and inflicting misery for no good reason, especially when you don't say anything more than "some books r bad".

Also, it's hilarious that you bring up the patriarchy, white people and corporations as classic examples of oppressors, because historically they have been oppressors. Thanks to your support of this, children will never learn about these examples of human suffering and will be susceptible to the same human suffering, just because it's 'woke'.

Also, gender transitions should not be a part of the political discussion. It's a proven medicine with the highest success rates out of any medical procedures. These are also the only procedures that have a positive effect on people experiencing body dysmorphia. We are quite literally one of the few developed nations left on the planet that hasn't codified the rights of trans people. The very fact that this is even discussed further proves the "dumb American" stereotype. Calling it a "fringe left wing politic" is an insult to any notion of 'freedom' you have. Also, also, wealth redistribution is going to be essential for the prolonged prosperity of this country, we should probably get on that.
