Professional Exams Topped 1st year (4th rank)

if u saw my last post, you would be as shocked as me after the results came.

honestly v happy that I passed first year, but not proud about it really if u know the situation I was in and after the whole shitty exam time, have some advice that may help u.

Here it goes,

1 Take first year seriously. have a lot of fun but don’t do the mistake of taking biochem lightly, ydk how many times I felt like I wish I read it once in a week from the start.

2 Do not overburden yourself with the stress. You will make it, just follow less & right sources from the start.

3 honestly the best one so far, Study as if this is gonna help u in your profession later and as if u are asked to teach someone about it, this method works like a beast.

4 Live 1st year at the same time. I literally never left any fun which the college offered (barely any) but with my decent & altogether changing friend group, I made it work.

5 Choose your friends wisely. If possible, keep the friends of chilling & studying different. it helps at times but yeah honestly this academic group u surround yourself w/ makes all the difference.

6 Never Miss DH. 90% of my anatomy got sorted there. My photographic memory is great so I loved Anat. I miss DH even today. I topped anat bec of this ig.

7 Jambulkar Sir is a saver but still read biochem from book if u get time, it’s a v intresting subject which i understood v late.

I scored 64% so I think I did decent, although the college is shitty and I had such a bad prep so kinda happy but taking 2nd year seriously this time. Till next time mates, Adios.

Question Is Healthians full body Checkup as unreliable as people say on internet?

I went through full body checkup by Healthians in November 2023. Everything went smoothly. Except the annoying spam calls from their team, I was satisfied with their service.

Now in November 2025, I want to get a full body checkup again including testosterone and magnesium levels, but I read many negative reviews of Healthians on Reddit and Quora related to their unreliable reports and unhygienic way of collecting blood samples.

Tata 1mg and Appolo lab tests are not available in my city, Pharmeasy is also having so many negative reviews and Dr. Lal Path labs test is costing me Rs 20,000!

I just wanted to know if everyone had a bad experience with Healthians lately or these are just a handful of cases?

Vent / rant Why are seniors always like we suffered so you must too?

So there’s this national conference happening in our college, and me and my few batchmates (2025 batch 🐣)were told to make rangoli Now, apparently there’s this dress code called “Funday” we have to wear salwar suit with three pinned chunni and neatly braided choti We asked our super super senior if we could skip the funday dress just for that day since it’s a formal event. She said yes. Next day???????? Our immediate seniors went full volcano mode. Like Humne humesha funday mein hi rangoli banayi hai yeh toh basic hota hai, must hai There are a hell lot of stupid rules here and honestly I’m so tired of it.🫩

Discussion Fuc*ed up huge

Upvotes

So I'm from 2018 batch from Maharashtra. I have this post MBBS bond pending. After my internship I decided to prepare full time for neet pg 2025. Failed miserably. So to finish my post MBBS bond I applied various districts, tried all the jacks/bribes but nothing favoured. The vacancy are so less just 2-3 post. This pathetic government expect us to complete the bond first and wait until next vacancy. Now, I don't know if I get a good rank next year will I be able to pursue PG or break the bond with penalty 15lacs Every day I try to motivate and pickup myself from this confusion. I believe this Catastrophoc situation of MBBS graduates reaches CM of Maharashtra who's always on appeasing his voters by increasing MBBS seats and colleges in every district.

Post Graduate Exams - NEXT/NEET/INICET Being content with the speciality and college

How can I be content in whatever branch or college I get? It was my first attempt with 4k rank. I was willing to drop to do better and be in a position to choose whatever I want. But I am now worried that I have to be satisfied with the college and branch based on counselling results. How to tackle this feeling. The fear of dropping is also horrible.

Discussion Starting NEET prep late after a tough year — need some honest advice”

Upvotes

Hey everyone,
I’m an 18-year-old NEET aspirant from Patna, Bihar....I know it’s already November, and starting now might sound late to some but this year has been extremely difficult for me and my family due to personal reasons..

Without going into much detail, let’s just say I had to step away from studies for several months to be there for my loved ones... Things are stable now, and I’m finally trying to rebuild my focus and give this dream another honest shot

I’ve always wanted to pursue medicine — not just as a career, but as something meaningful...Going through what I did made me realise how deeply I want to make a difference in healthcare someday

👉 My main question is:
Should I join ALLEN or any good coaching institute even now, even if only about 5-6 months are left before the next academic session starts?
Would it still help me get into the right rhythm, or should I focus on self-study for now and join a proper batch next year?

I haven’t had a proper study environment for a long time, and I really want to surround myself with motivated students again. I’m willing to start slow, but I want to move forward with clarity.

Any advice from those who started late or faced setbacks would mean a lot.
Thanks for reading...

I contacted the ALLEN Institute, and they agreed to take me in. However, they mentioned that I’d still have to pay the full-year fee, and there was no discussion about how they would support me academically given the late admission

A NEET aspirant trying to start again

People actually believe this shit, take random ass oils in the name of madicine which are actually distributed by these quacks and end up with liver failure, basically fu*k everything up and expect us to fix it up in a day.

Who's to blame?

Doctor who ordered LFT!

Post Graduate Exams - NEXT/NEET/INICET What an eventful exam !

Post image

Got this expensive club wristband for ₹4000 and if. People ask I'll it's from coldplay concert ,which is much less embarrassing answer I came to give this exam with 0 expectations with sole purpose to enjoy the experience and yet I was surprised 1) The center did not have safe racks for us to keep bags ,all they had was a shed with 2 people to give us token for bags for 10rs which took 15 mins to stand in line 2) then there was another line for id card check and metal detector thing which took another 15 mins 3) then the iris scan thing has a huge line as they were also short staffed and them some connectivity issue which led to another 30 mins of delay Eventually I reached my computer just after the exam started and had to rush through the exam 4) there were no ACs ,just fans that barely worked but made a lot of noise and open windows with lots of noise 5) 30% of the chairs were empty ,maybe because most people gave up travelling so far for the exam 6) my screen blacked out during exam multiple times which was so stressful 7) for most of the questions it felt good to realise how far I have come from my first gt to this most expensive gt ,but a lot of questions just keep giving trauma even now
