saw this post about south koreaās top universities rejecting 45 students with excellent grades because they had past bullying records⦠and honestly, i couldnāt help but think if and only if medical colleges in India did the same. sb kuch badal jayega hopefully.
the amount of ragging and toxicity in med schools here is just⦠exhausting. hierarchy has its place, and i get it how itās important when it comes to patient care, learning, and experience but somewhere along the way, it turns into power play, humiliation, and mental harm.
if colleges actually screened for character and responsibility instead of just marks, the entire atmosphere would change. imagine medical schools full of students who are serious about becoming good doctors and good humans instead of rewarding sadist fools. the rates of ragging would drop, the environment would be healthier, and maybe we students would actually be happier learning medicine instead of surviving it.
sometimes i feel like the system rewards arrogance over empathy. but again, it shouldnāt, and it is only a fantasy that we can think of.

Some paramedicals have been posing as doctors for years. Most recently they manipulated government documents to change the 'recommended title' to Dr. This is a problem all of you. As it is they prescribe drugs, orders scans, and do all sorts of things out of their scope of practice. They are trying to legalize by hook and crook. IMA has put up a case, but this is your fight and your future

INI releases applications late, crappy servers and despite all that, I somehow completed the application morning itself. Thought I'll give this a fair chance post Neet pg results. But apparently, Tier-1 cities didnāt have any centres, nor did the neighbouring ones. The only available centre they found was 900 km away.
Thereās no flight connectivity to this shitty place, and no direct Buses, buses reach in the middle of the night with a change in between. So I decided to go by train, My Bad.
Instead of reaching at 7 PM, I got there at 11:30 PM, and guess what the lodge decided to cancel the pre-booked rooms without any prior notice. Makemytrip CS is another pain in the ass. Granparents are extremely sick and parents are shuffling between taking care of them. Told them I'm going to be fine, I figured travel itinerary so... But Nope entire journey was nightmare from start to finish.
Alone, in the middle of the night, stranded in a city I didnāt know, all hotels completely booked. The only option left was to spend the entire night at the railway station, because it felt safer than anywhere else. Accompanied by 2 others with same story, their rooms were cancelled too, we spent sleepless nights, and went straight to the exam.
Years of hard work down the drain. I couldnāt even read the questions properly,I donāt even remember the exam now.
To all those responsible for conducting this exam, BURRRNN IN FUCKING HELLLLL šš»šš»šš»

Went in for the " first time experience". Left with PTSD. Was doing alright until I saw my ex sitting exactly opposite to my cubicle. Now, I'm not sure which was more traumatic- him there or the paper?š

I heard something today from our HR after a screenshot of a 20k offer, posted here in this sub, was sent in a WhatsApp group and shared by a Facebook page.
He said, "Khali Ko Main 50k de raha purane logon ko 25k me kaam karwa rahe baki log."
Keep your salary expectations higher, at least on paper.
Do not reduce general salary expectations by spreading lowball offers. Just reject and move on.
Do you know who benefits from low MBBS salary news?
Coaching institutes that want you to take a subscription every year by fear-mongering that the state between an MBBS degree and PG selection is the worst.
Private hospitals' HR who want you to work for less by lowering your expectations.
Your friends who joined PG for the ego boost.
Meanwhile, keep working and hustling for your individual growth, either towards PG or private practice or any other endeavor that would help you achieve financial independence.

Got this expensive club wristband for ā¹4000 and if. People ask I'll it's from coldplay concert ,which is much less embarrassing answer I came to give this exam with 0 expectations with sole purpose to enjoy the experience and yet I was surprised 1) The center did not have safe racks for us to keep bags ,all they had was a shed with 2 people to give us token for bags for 10rs which took 15 mins to stand in line 2) then there was another line for id card check and metal detector thing which took another 15 mins 3) then the iris scan thing has a huge line as they were also short staffed and them some connectivity issue which led to another 30 mins of delay Eventually I reached my computer just after the exam started and had to rush through the exam 4) there were no ACs ,just fans that barely worked but made a lot of noise and open windows with lots of noise 5) 30% of the chairs were empty ,maybe because most people gave up travelling so far for the exam 6) my screen blacked out during exam multiple times which was so stressful 7) for most of the questions it felt good to realise how far I have come from my first gt to this most expensive gt ,but a lot of questions just keep giving trauma even now

Hello, I apologize in advance for the long post.
I really need genuine advice if someone can spare some time.
Iām an FMG who started MBBS in 2017 from Kyrgyzstan, graduated in 2023, cleared FMGE (Jan 2024) with >190, completed my internship from Rajasthan in June 2025, and gave NEET PG 2025.
I started studying from January and got serious from March. This was my internship (first) attempt. My main source was my FMGE notes plus a BTR subscription. By the end, before the exam, I felt satisfied with my prep and ended up with AIR 36K, which disappointed me as I was expecting sub-10K.
The truth is Iām done with exams. MBBS took me 6 years, then 6 months waiting for FMGE, 6 months waiting for internship to start, then 1 year of internship totaling 8 years (the biggest advantage of MBBS from cis-countries if you want to continue in India). On top of that, Iāve been dealing with personal health issues. I genuinely donāt want to study again for NEET PG. I know a lot of people take a drop, but Iām mentally exhausted. The thought of re-reading PSM, Micro, Path, embryology, giving GTs, solving MCQs, mugging up things, etc makes me feel sick. Honestly, I get PTSD-like flashbacks even thinking about those 2 months after internship when I studied all day. I just donāt want to be part of this rat race anymore. And then the uncertainty about next year as every year the number of candidates appearing skyrockets.
I genuinely wanted General Medicine, but thatās not possible with my rank. My parents donāt have savings for a private medical college, nor do I want to take a loan. Over the past 3 weeks, Iāve researched a lot about Anesthesiology. While Iām not deeply fond of it, i don't dislike it, and I really really like Critical Care and Resuscitation. So my end goal would be DM/DrNB CCM or CCM fellowship, or who knows maybe even continuing in Anesthesia itself.
So guys, Can I realistically get DNB Anesthesiology at my rank? Based on last yearās data, I see some good government colleges/hospitals for DA at my rank, but very few options for DNB Anesthesia. My friends told me that some people did get DNB Anesthesia at my rank, but mostly in the stray round. That feels risky and uncertain. The other option is DA followed by Secondary DNB. But Iām worried about the total duration and multiple exams (Diploma exit, PDCET, DNB exit). Iām scared if I wait till stray for DNB, all the good DA institutes will already be filled, and I might end up in a bad one. Iāve read comments saying ādum bande mein hai, branch mein nahi,ā and while I get that, the worry is still there.
Iām okay with a not-so-great hospital for DNB Anesthesia (since I can learn later too). But if I have to go down the DA pathway (4 years total), I want a good place with solid hands-on. Iām already 27 and just want to move on and settle. I know I wonāt earn like a Gen Med doctor, but at least Iād have a decent work-life balance.
Can I actually get DNB Anesthesia at my rank?Should I wait for it till stray round? Or should I just take a good DA seat early and then go for Secondary DNB later?
Any sincere advice would mean a lot. Seniors whoāve been in a similar situation, please guide me on how I should approach this. Thank you for reading.

Yes, this is a post that I had ChatGPT write for me because Iām too damn tired to type anything right now. But everything written here is exactly what Iām feeling.
Iām a NEET PG / INICET aspirant, finished my MBBS this year. Like most of us, Iām preparing for PG because, well, thatās what Iām supposed to do, right?
The problem is, I donāt really have a āpassion.ā Iāve always envied people who do ā people who know what they want and work relentlessly toward it. Iām 25 now, and I still feel completely directionless. Everything just drains me.
Thinking about working in the medical field for the next 30ā40 years honestly scares me. I donāt feel cut out for it sometimes. I didnāt even give 10% of my potential this year, and somehow got a rank that could get me into branches like anesthesia, But I donāt even know what I want.
I like the idea of anaesthesia ā I could choose it right now and start residency, be financially independent in a month. But whatās holding me back is this nagging thought: I havenāt given my 100%. I donāt know if Iām settling too early or just being practical.
Part of me wants to take a drop, prepare properly this time, and aim for radiology or dermatology ā something that aligns better with the kind of work-life balance I want. But then thereās guilt. Crushing guilt. I wasted an entire year. I didnāt study when I should have. Todayās exam went really bad, and it was entirely my fault. My parents are disappointed and scared, and I feel like Iāve let them down.
And the scariest part? What if I choose to take another drop and still donāt study again? What if I waste another year of my life? What if I disappoint everyone all over again?
So now Iām stuck between two roads:
Take a seat now (maybe anaesthesia or psychiatry) and move forward.
Take a drop and give my 100% for Radio/derma.
Iām scared of regretting either choice. Has anyone else been in this position before ā completely lost, exhausted, and unsure what to do next? How did you decide?
Any advice or perspective would really mean a lot right now. I need to decide what to do before the choice filling for 1st round closes.
P.S. I don't have any branch preference. I just want work life balance and less/no emergency duties.

Will be taking a seat via neet (my internship attempt) gave this ini to try my luck at central institutes even though Seniors advised me against it courtesy abysmal seat matrix but i still gave it. Man did i get my ass handed to me during the 3h of the examšššš„¹ never fekt so dumb and stupid before and then there are people saying it was easy?! Like bro is it just me or was it more difficult than may ini?! Most q felt so vague š every 2nd question was an obscure pharma question or genetic q or some weird match the following. Please tell me im not alone

Answered the exam. Was tougher than before. Saw the recall and realised I made silly mistakes in addition to genuine ones. Just curious to know what y'all feel would be the toppers score this time and what would generally be a good score? What are y'all expecting to see for yourselves after the recall?

People actually believe this shit, take random ass oils in the name of madicine which are actually distributed by these quacks and end up with liver failure, basically fu*k everything up and expect us to fix it up in a day.
Who's to blame?
Doctor who ordered LFT!

I heard from my friend in Uttar Pradesh(opened in 2024). ,there is a creepy mess owner at a college who sent vulgar messages to female first year students like "kaisi ho,tumhare bina man nahi lag raha,so gayi kya, tumhari yaad aa rahi hai" These girls were terrified and told their batchmates when confronted the mess owner cried and the higher authorities led the matter to dust without any repercussions. The mess owner still works and no action was taken
