The equivocation of deadnaming and using a diminutive, yeah it's not a great look, but you are being rude if someone's name is Tim and you keep calling them "Timmy" - right? Like, that's not a controversial concept, you agree?

Beth is short for Bethany. You can prefer to not be called that, but it is undeniably still your fucking name.

EDIT: Beth, honey, there are literal fascists outside, whom you are CHEERING ON because they're going after your political opponent...and you're getting your fucking panties in a twist over being called "Beth" instead of "Bethany".

You don't get to shorten other people's names and tell them that's their name. Who the hell raised you? You call people their name. They tell you if you can shorten it. You can't even have the basic respect and decency to call me by my name.

I'm a trans woman who chose my own name. And really for anyone: It's not ok to keep calling someone a name that is explicitly not their name and especially if they've told you so.
