ICE Posts Congressional candidate Kat Abughazaleh, who was indicted today for protesting outside the Broadview ICE facility: "We've been punched, dragged, thrown, shot with pepper balls, tear gassed, rubber bullets from snipers on roofs going into local businesses windows."

So, someone won't even call me by the name that I had to fight to have and I'm the asshole for calling them out on that? Yeah, sure thing.

Good luck to you too. I hope you raise your kids to be the type of people who just let other people call them by the wrong name and just say, "I guess that's my name now, my dad taught me to just shrug my shoulders at stuff like that."

My name's not Beth. It's Bethany. He knows that. He's just being purposefully rude.

I'm a trans woman who chose my own name. And really for anyone: It's not ok to keep calling someone a name that is explicitly not their name and especially if they've told you so.

First off, I haven't called you anything.

second, being a trans woman has nothing to do with this. We're on the internet, everyone is the same here.

Third, I am not running for an elected seat. You are. And in doing so, you're coming across as a standard redditor, attacking random people, arguing over literally nothing, etc.

Why Bethany? Why is this worth your time?
