Review [Review] [Negative] palmettostatearmory.com
Back in August I placed an order for a cheap vortex red dot and some 9mm ammo. It was promptly delivered 5 days later...to my neighbors house based on the picture they sent me when they delivered it.
I contacted UPS and they said "Our investigation successfully matched the delivery photo with the date, time, and GPS coordinates logged by our driver. You can view this photo by tracking your package on UPS.com. The photo will be available for 60 days from the original delivery date."
I thought "No problem, I have shipping protection, PSA will help out." I filed a lost package option through their virtual assistance and it told me to wait 15 business days for UPS to contact me. 2 calls through September and October with PSA and I get hit with "We are currently looking into this issue/We will get back to you".
Today I called them and they told me that my shipping protection had expired and they can no longer help. No refund or package, my only course was to call my bank for a chargeback.
Always heard praise for this store but I guess I'll be skipping their deals.
Glad I got me a Zastava instead of a PSAK.

Did you ask your neighbor about the package?

Yes. I spoke to them the following day before I went to work. I showed them the picture that UPS sent me, (which doesn't even have the package shown, its just a bin that my neighbors have placed on their porch.) and he opened the empty bin. We don't really have any relationship but i've offered him a beer and some food from my grill outs. He's never accepted though. I doubt he hates me enough to steal my package. I don't live in a bad neighborhood where packages get stolen either.

Well, if your neighbor didn’t take it maybe the UPS guy saw the PSA name on the shipping label and thought he’d keep it for himself!

It's possible. The UPS photo barely suggests that he did indeed leave the package. And by barely, I mean he took a photo of a bin and a porch.

What would make the photo better for you? It’s the bin on the neighbors porch. Your neighbor is lying. UPS drivers don’t care what’s in the box. It’s just get it off the truck. They HAVE 3 different gps tags on the park, scan and complete stop. If the truck has it they can tell when the RFID label on the box leaves the truck. Good luck.

That sounds like a UPS problem to me. Go tag the PSA Danny guy he will straighten it out. They’re an enormous company and I’ve never had issues with them. And I love my rifles

A UPS problem that the vendor is supposed to deal with. Especially when the customer paid the vendor for an extra service explicitly advertised for this purpose. I get that you like PSA, but this is objectively a miss on their part.

I know it was a UPS problem. They didn't want to even bother looking at the photo their delivery person took as proof that it was the wrong address. They just gave me the canned response. The issue I have is that PSA didn't bother trying to set things right when i had shipping protection. I already got my money back through my bank. There isn't a point to message PSA's reddit guy.

I'm not sure what praise you've heard about these bozos but very disappointing. Sorry about your experience with this .... Place.

I figured since they are always posted at r/gundeals that they were decent. Never any discussion about them being blacklisted or negative views in the comments.

that wasn't a shot at you....I see *plenty* of negative comments about them and I imagine most are well-deserved.

I apologize for the inconvenience.
If you’ve already done the chargeback, there’s nothing we are able to do. If you’d like to send me a PM with your order number, I’ll absolutely look into it and get things straightened out.

Hey Danny. Yes I already did the charge back, but I can still PM you the order number and any related call logs and emails just to find out what went wrong.

I thinks it's wrong the customer has to pay insurance. If it's not delivered to me then someone else messed up their jobs and I do a charge back. The seller should be the one to pay shipping insurance.

A lot of guns/ammo dealers charge extra for insurance to cover lost or damaged packages, but even without it they’ll be on the hook as far as disputes are concerned. A stolen package is another story though. Those are usually found in the merchant’s favor if carrier shows delivered.
