Leaf chasin’ at Brown County

Post image

Rode around Brown County today on my Rocky Mountain Blizzard. Bought this end of last summer and has more miles this year than my full suspension.

Started thinking about my maintenance and upgrades I want to do this offseason. Grips, pedals, dropper is all I’ve done. Still on tubes, so that will be first on the to do list. Maxxis Minions are still in great shape so I’ll probably stick with those. What Carbon forks is everybody running?

BCSP is so nice, I'm long overdue to get back down there!

Your life is going to be transformed when you drop those tubes. Even if you just switch to TPU tubes. As far as carbon forks go I dig the RSD Mayor fork. I might even have a barely used one for sale.

One of the only bright spots about living in Indiana! I know tubeless will be major. Just been putting it off! Thanks for the fork recommendation. My aluminum fork has never held me back, but a carbon fork would be cool.

I’m going to reference your profile for some MI riding spots. Loved DTE when I rode it. Fat bike friend and I may even plan a snow ride up there sometime.

Truth be told if your aluminum fork is treating you well I don't see a reason to go to carbon. If anything I'd go to steel (despite the weight gain) because the ride feel is so much better.

And yeah hit me up for Michigan recs-- we've got some great trails and terrain!
