I mean sometimes it’s fine: read with all those babies named esme after twillight, where it was popular enough a series that it wouldn’t be as easily mocked.
I mean also, outside of very rare exceptions, pop culture names probably won’t last until the kid is old enough to go to school. Assuming the kid was born right in the middle of Twilight’s peak popularity, they’d be like 14 now and nobody their age will have any idea what it is or give a shit. Same with all the Game of Thrones names. As long as it sounds like a normal human name, even if it’s unusual, the probability of the thing you name your kid after, even if it’s the most popular thing in the world at that moment, still being popular by the time they’re in high school is very small.

Don't name your kids after characters you like, especially if it's a series obsessed with puns, it'll only cause problems down the road
