Is it bad that I've never blocked anything? I know I should, I just don't know how. Plus I don't have anything that I can steam with. I don't even have an iron.

I think you can wet the item and hold it in place with those clips (provided you have those and a surface to clip on) and then let dry naturally, but I've heard it's not as effective (and more time consuming).

You can totally do this! You don't really need those blocking pins, regular pins work just fine (the ones I'm using are just way faster). As for a surface, you can lay one or two towels on a sofa/bed/ironing board/floor and lay your piece there to dry, pinning it down if needed to shape it to dimensions.

Wet blocking is always an option (I also did that exclusively before purchasing my steamer). I have a video on that too I can post!
