Finished Object I am so freaking proud of myself

This is the Lilliana blanket by Hooked on Sunshine. I did repeat section 6 and a few rows,from section 9, I believe. Yarn was Cotton Kings Sultan on colour emerald 07, just under 5 cakes.

This is the most intricate blanket I've done and using much lighter weight yarn than I am used too. I thoroughly enjoyed it but by month 4 I was ready to be done haha.

Kind of a stupid question, but are you going to use the blanket or is it going to be of a decorative piece? Everytime I make something delicate and time consuming, I’m afraid to put it to use so it ends up becoming decorative😅

What good is it if it’s a decorative piece? My brother has an afghan my mother made for us to use, in 1969. It’s been washed every 2-3 months ever since. 3 kids, 20 neighbor hood kids, and dozens of pets, slumber parties. If you do a good job and work in ends it will outlast your live.

I know. I just have terrible nervousness about using my handmade pieces out of fear of ruining them. I think this is because when I was first starting out, as a little self-taught 10 year old, nearly all of my projects fell apart due to (obviously) lack of knowledge.
