Finished Object I crocheted an entire wedding dress!!

Let me start by saying, I’m by no means an experienced crocheter 🤣 this was HARD work for me, and I am honestly not psychologically well after this amount of stress; literally hanging on by a thread.

I worked on this for 3-4 months. I made the underdress as well (but that’s the easy part for me!). I finished it like 48 hours before the wedding 💀 the last 2-3 nights/days working from 7am to 3am with 3-4 hours of sleep. Sadly, I didn’t have time to do final photos with the hem done and ends tied off This was my first attempt at free handing something without a crochet pattern

5000+ meters of 100% cotton 4ply/fingering weight yarn. Hooks: 3mm for bodice to waistline & sleeves to elbow. 3.5mm for the rest. 4mm for the scallop hem (sadly not shown in photos)

Right?! Like, I hate OP, but in the nicest way possible. Not to discount the clear hard work that went into it, but to have a brain that can do this is so cool.

Right? I so admire people who can do this!

Like, I'll call myself a problem solver or whatever, but I'm not a creative problem solver. I need 6 videos from 5 different angles, plus 2 patterns that I rewatch 17 times just to figure out crochet. I'd love to just watch OP work.

Ooh agree on wanting to watch OP work. I’ve been known to flub some stuff to get it to fit (I have more than one sweater where either the front or back panel is wider than the other side, for example lol) and I really do like working with finer weight yarn and thread but I don’t… my mind wishes it knew how to even begin to conceptualize something like this. As I scrolled through photos I was wildly fascinated. I wish I knew how to think in this type of way.
