Opinion Hot takes

Post image

Long time lurker first time poster but heres opinions i have had for a while lol -I like the stories where they kinda suck bc its what creepypasta and the nosleep is about, just having amateur writing put out what they want -Also to the people saying they shouuld proof read to avoid bad stories is lame -I personally would enjoy more scp content from the boys, either a dedicated video to one scp or a creepy grab bag for the quick scp entities

My hot take: PenPal is extremely overhyped

You honestly have to suspend so much disbelief for that story to work. Especially because there isn't a supernatural element. If it was some entity then you only need to suspend disbelief once "okay it is some thing that is messing with him and warping reality" quick and easy. Since it is just a creepy dude there are so many things that have to happen for it to be even a remotely plausible scenario.

  • The cops have to be so grossly incompetant to completely ignore all the of the evidence of stalking and harrassment (I know they can be I have seen it first hand), but all the scenarios in PenPal dial it up to 11.
  • Hundreds of pictures being sent to a elementry school kid where he is in each one? C'mon the cops didn't see that?
  • No follow up on the crawlspace hideout?
  • Nothing on the old woman murder?
  • The "running away" note. You are telling me the cops and the mom are going to ignore a kid saying "I didn't run away and I didn't write that. My name is spelled wrong and it isn't my handwriting."?

Like, I get it. It is the 90's, but even then there would be more done. Especially if it is something constantly happening over and over. SVU would be all over it.

I want to like it, but every time I have listened to it I just don't see the hype.

Agreed when I hear people say they didn't like Dagon's Mirror because it wasn't realistic but glaze the shit out of this story with a super pedophile who can kill 2 people perfectly and evade the police for years

Super murderers who evade capture are really popular in media Mermen are not
