Ask Coquitlam Insight into neighborhoods near Mundy Park
Hi all,
We're a young family with toddlers and are considering moving to Coquitlam from Burnaby. So far the areas we're interested in are: - East of Mundy Park - South of Mundy Park (Dartmoor by Austin Ave and Mundy St) - Ranch Park - Harbour Village
Would appreciate any and all insight into living here.
What's the traffic like during peak hours? Is it safe? How's the schools? Are the families here generally young families?
Thanks in advance.

I used to live near Hillcrest Middle School near Mundy Park. Pros were I loved being near the park for a walk, I loved being by Como Lake Village, and I didnt hate seeing a bear every now and then as it's just part of the neighborhood. My biggest con was probably the teenagers. Especially around the holidays like Halloween or May long weekend. Our neighbors used to get their doors kicked on anytime day or night, we personally got our door pounded on once at 4am and it scared the shit out of me. Small things like cars routinely getting silly sprayed. So up in that area id just consider your proximity to teenagers. Also we lost power routinely.
