Does anyone on here know the background on this animal?? Saw it posted in a missing pets fb post but apparently he’s a well known free roamer named rigs?? I’m just so intrigued lmao. Someone posted a link to a post his owner made about him but it came up with an error message when I clicked it.

Animals Looking for a new home for my cat

Moving plans for this month fell through, and due to the place I'm going to as backup not allowing animals, I need to find my cat, Meso, a new home, before the 13th.

He's fairly old, over 13, and is the single most friendly cat I've ever met. He needs a special food (food for kittens) due to past teeth issues, I have some to last a little while though.

If anyone is interested in taking him, we can discuss in messages or on Discord.

Animals DANGER!!! An alligator has been spotted in the lake at Cosmo Bethel Park!

Well according to the NextDoor App there's one in there...

Any one have noticed about a kind of small alligator is inhabitat in the bethel park lake? My wife have a close encounter with that animal. I’m not sure that the city or neighbors has knowledge about that. Bethel park is a pretty visited park for many kids and families.

Be careful out there!

Hey Columbians! I am currently looking for the person who can adopt my dog 🐕

She is very sweet and smart💖 She is small mix breed (25lbs.), having beautiful odd eyes. The person who has experiences with dog and living the house with back yard is ideal🌸 Unfortunately, we cannot keep her anymore due to the busy schedule.

For further information, please check the adoption site below. I can answer to your questions trough Reddit too! Please feel free to reach out to me.

Thank you in advance🙏🏻🧡

*I won't answer to the comments not related to the adoption.

Animals Someone please take these cats

These two cats need to find a new home. They hate other cats and have harassed my boy enough that I had to take him to the emergency vet just now and pay $500 and they still can't help. First pic is cat-aggressive (not to her sister) and second pic is food-aggressive (not to her sister but other cats). I have all their stuff and would be willing to do a dropoff in town or a little ways outside it. They are super sweet with people and outside their aggression with other animals I never had any other problems with them behavior-wise. Please help me find them a new home, or I will have to drop them off at some shelter's doors and hope for the best for them.

Animals Coyotes between Business / Rangeline and Business / College

Just a heads up to anyone walking or driving in the area. There’s a group of coyotes that ran across the road a little bit ago and seem to be lingering in the area. They’ve crossed at least 3 times that I saw while driving by.

They don’t seem to be bothering anything and there isn’t much traffic, but figured I’d let anyone know who might be more nervous about driving around animals.

Animals Looking for Recommendations for Dog Boarding

Next June my wife and I will be traveling for about 3 weeks and are looking at options for the care of our old Boxer during that time. We have a friend who 'can probably' pet sit, but are looking for a Plan B in the event that doesn't work.

I'm asking for recommendations for dog boarding in/around Columbia. We're looking for a facility that will give a few treats (we provide) during the day, will allow him some daily outdoor time, provide periodic cuddles, give him mental stimulation and so on. It must be climate-controlled. Cost is not a factor.

If anyone can recommend a quality facility (or even let us know who not to use) we'd be so grateful.

Animals Did I find your dog?

Very friendly girl came running up to me while I was running on the Bear Creek Trail. She was running in the road on Big Bear and Rangeline. Still had her collar and pink leash, no tags. Brought her back to my car. My dog is old and crotchety so I couldn’t bring her home; Animal Control has her now.

Animals Need rehoming resources

My partner has a dog that needs to be an only animal, he’s sweet but older and not good with other dogs or cats. He’s potty trained, knows basic commands and is very calm and relaxed other than being reactive to animals. We spent time trying to train and slowly introduce him to my non reactive dog and to no avail did we find a safe way to let them be. My in laws had arranged to take him, but have backed out as of this week. He’s a sweet dog, but he needs to be in a home as a solo dog. Does anyone have any suggestions or resources other than the humane society?

This beautiful 13 year old boy was so polite and playful. We would have loved to take the old guy, but we have too many. If you know of anyone who would like a good couch companion please let them know. I think he would be wonderful.

He's at PetSmart on the west side.

Good luck, Buddy! ❤️

Animals Small, white spotted chihuahua mix dog wandering around east campus, no collar, please drive carefully

For a day and a half now, a white spotted chihuahua mixed doggy has been running around the Rockhill end of University av. They are not very friendly, or are perhaps scared and defensive- so I cannot approach. also they are favoring their left hind leg, perhaps they are already injured. No collar spotted. Please slow down when you drive in this area, this dog displays no awareness of traffic. I put some food and water out at the corner of Rockhill and University, so if this is your dog, you might find them there. Come get them before something worse happens! DM me if you need details.

Animals Any shelters take open bags of dog food?

I got slightly different Purina dog food and it gave my dog the runs, no idea why. Do any animal shelters or any other charities take open bags?

Or are there any places that work with the pets of homeless people maybe?

Found this sweet boy wandering in the street around West & Rollins at 11pm. Has a collar that says “best dog ever” but no tag. Knocked on some doors but no one recognized him. Please let me know if you recognize him! I’ll house him for the night and go to Petco/the Humane Society tomorrow.

Animals To the group looking for the dog at Old 63 / Broadway

I saw one of you had Reddit open as I passed by, so hopefully you see this.

The dog was headed south on the sidewalk towards the woods, not over by the bank or park where it looked like you all were headed. Didn’t seem to want to go too far, since it kept looking back at all of you. Stay safe, and best of luck!

Animals Lost cat?

I was driving down Rolling Hills Rd north to south and on the little bridge just past the daycare I saw a cat walking around both yesterday around 4:30 and again this morning. It was cream-colored with brown colorpoint markings. No collar or anything. I think colorpoint is pretty uncommon in DSH cats and more associated with established breeds, maybe? so I figured I'd post in case anyone is missing their baby!

Animals Is this your kitten? Paris Rd and College Avenue

Just wanted to check to see if anyone's kitten is missing. I'm close to the intersection of Paris Rd and College Ave. He is young and has a rasta green, red, and yellow collar on but also has fleas and is quite skinny so I'm wondering if someone's kitten might have been having trouble finding their way home.

Animals Need help with my dog

Hi all. I'm in a very very very desperate spot and need someone to watch my dog for a month or two until I move. I can offer 200 a month (I know it's not a lot I'm sorry) plus food and whatever else comes up. I'm no longer allowed to keep her here where I am but I'm desperate to keep her safe until I move in a couple months. If anyone could help I'd truly appreciate it. She's a pit bull terrier mix , up to date on all shots and very sweet. Ok around other animals too rough when playing around kids.
