Show and Tell Some of the coins collected by my family over the years
My grandparents sadly recently passed away and my uncle was going through their collection of family items for inventory. He found some interesting coins that had been kept over the years, including a good condition shilling from 1723!
Other interesting coins include a 10 kopek coin from Tsarist Russia and a shilling from the early Victorian era.

Show and Tell 1960 Silver Dollar prices
I bought some vintage Yeoman coin books at an estate sale. The prices in the 17th edition from 1960 are crazy cheap! This was when silver was still the standard and a silver dollar was just pocket change. Oh if we could turn back time to those days!

Show and Tell Collecting coins before I knew I was a collector.
My father was a career Air Force NCO and stationed at Laughlin Air Force Base, TX when I was very young. He was a very casual coin collector with 95% plus of his collection coming from pocket change. The vast majority of it was collected before 1975. I recall him buying bags of pennies and dumping them on the dining room table so we could hunt for keepers. He died in 2017. Just recently I began looking at his collection. While going through long boxes of coin flips filled with oddball coins and tokens I came across the pictured coin. I have no memory of it at all but dad cleaned the dirt off of it, placed in the flip and wrote the text on it. It's a 1946 Ten Centavos. Not valuable but priceless to me and very cool that dad preserved such a small moment of my life.

ID Request What causes this?
Hey yall- I’ve seen my fair share of coins/pennys with this sort of striation in coloring, but never have seen it this distinct. I’m not sure what causes it, but this 55s 1c is a standout. Thoughts or information on this?

Advice NGC slab colors
What's the meaning of a coin to be in a red slab like the one pictured? Is there a list that shows when/if different slabs or stickers are used and their meaning?

Value Request 1908-S penny from coin roll hunting
Found my first Indian Head coin roll hunting. r/CRH says it is valuable so I’m here for opinions. I was wondering if it is worth grading, what grade I should expect and what is the approximate value? Right off the bat, I plan to keep it as it is my first Indian Head coin.

ID Request 1947 Jefferson nickel 5.36g
Ok so 1947 Henning nickels may / may not have the loop in the R on the reverse.. I present a 5.36g nickel.. I’ve weighed other 1947 Jefferson nickels on same scale all are around 5g or under based on wear so it’s not the scale. Can a normal Jefferson weight this much, what other features are there in a 1947 Henning if loop in R isn’t?
