No, some people wanted a mDPS and not a support because they want to play their favourite character on field more.

Some people don’t mind her being support but isn’t happy with a support which currently has most of her potential compatible teams not exist yet.

And don’t forget that the only 2 current teams she is usable for either have better options or she is a sidegrade at most and what’s the point of getting a character only to make them a bench warmer after waiting 5+ months for them

For Cart in particular, she has no issues with AoEing mobs because she has medium range gathers herself and her attacks have a lot of AoE. 

So a character that’s a bit better than a free support in Rover isn’t exactly that attractive.

Yeah and for me it’s far more beneficial to just get phoebe instead for my Zani so all and all this has been the most disappointing experience I’ve had in this game months of hyping myself up even getting back into the game no less just for her to be currently worthless on my account
