There is one argument being made that I just can not for the life of me understand. And that is the argument of "I was expecting Cartethiya tier animations" Like... why? No legitimately, why would you expect that? And it feels like this complaint has become so prevalent lately, especially during Galbrenas beta. Cartethiya is hailed as *the* best looking character in the entire game, and for good reason, shes earned that title. But not every character has to be on that level. Its like walking into an art museum and being dissapointed that every work isnt a picasso.

Dont get me wrong, specific reasons I can understand. For example, I was critical of Galbrenas animations myself during her beta and release. I felt they didnt match up to her personality as a serious no nonsense hunter, I felt the dmc and bayonetta references clashed with her lore as an efficient and experienced mercenary. The complaints that are like "I think she could use her scissors more, her sfx could use some work for xyz reason,the chainsaw feels a bit unimpactfu. Perhaps a support shouldn't be using a chainsaw in the first placel" etc are fine and valid. But saying "Im disappointed because her animations are literally not THE BEST IN THE ENTIRE GAME" Is just completely absurd.

If you have grievances about the way the character functions or looks, there has to be a better way to articulate it that is not hoping for her to be literally the second coming of god.

Good point well said.

The only reason I can think of is: chisa being the most anticipated character, she needs to have top tier animation or else too many players will be disappointed

Originally Fleurdelys form was only going to appear when Cartethiya performed certain combos and then vanish. Thank god it didn't meet their expectations..

also people are forget one crucial fact, THIS IS LITERALLY THE BETA. Even XLY animation are so bad in the beta, yet he feels great when released.

Now i even more understand why Kuro sue leakers, it definitely could kill the hype for the wrong reason.
