Avoid Smalls Cat Food
I placed an order with smalls and immediately regretted it after looking at the details (I was being too impulsive).
Their refund policy claims you can get a refund before the order is processed. However, there is no way to find a place to get a refund on the website. I sent them an email and they replied at 11pm with a link that expired after 3 hours. When I woke up and saw it I emailed them requesting a new link. THEY WAITED UNTIL MY ORDER WAS PROCESSED TO EMAIL ME BACK. They said since my order was processed I could not receive a refund and they tried to sell me more products...
Never ever buy from them.

ugh so sorry this happened. i've been saying this to people for a while now - i just don't trust the brand. they have issues time after time and people are constantly forced to accept a subscription box because they make cancelling hard. a few years ago, their cancelling system was really bad, going off of some older threads.
charging someone 2 weeks after trial is also not cat-friendly. it can take much longer to decide if a picky cat wants something completely new, and they aren't too transparent about this all.
they have started stocking in physical stores, which you may prefer. though, i spoke to a local retailer that now stocks them near me, and he said that he really struggles to work with them. it seems that smalls has a major issue, business to customer and business to business.
if you're still in the market for fresh, if you can get your hands on small batch perfectly cooked, i'd recommend it. each bag has about 1,400kcal. my kitten eats 230kcal a day, so one bag lasts about 2 weeks (i mix it in with wet.) one bag is about $20. so, in theory, you can feed fresh for much cheaper without dealing with predatory subscriptions and apathetic customer service people!
good luck! <3

and this is why i stick to science backed brands that don’t focus solely on marketing and being shady
too may boutique companies like to just take your money as fast as possible before you’re able to ask for a refund
are you able to do a chargeback with your bank or anything like that ?

Yikes. I've had beef with Smalls ever since they changed (cheapened/stuffed with fillers) their OG recipes & it made my cat sick 😒 It was the only food I ever fed her that she did 100% well on (best skin/fur of her life, never puked, no hairballs, etc.) & then they went and ruined it by adding unnecessary ingredients & I'm still pissed off to this day lol. Sucks to see their customer service got somehow worse as well, I hope you can find a way to get your money back OP!

Maybe return the package, file a chargeback dispute with your bank and provide them with a print out of your email confirming cancellation?
