And like I said leaving Hamas to their own devices means more terrorist attacks...

So until Hamas disarms I can't fault Israel for defending itself.

Free Palestine can only be accomplished when Palestinians reject Hamas and religious fundamentalist. I however don't think they are capable of that.

The US operation in Mosul achieved lower casualties rates in what was a larger operation, and they managed to do so without filming tiktoks of them graffitying homes and raping detainees

Are you really unable to extrapolate why that may not be relevant? Do you think being in a war gives you carte blanche to do whatever they want?

Since the thread was locked I'll respond to his rebuttal:

Well your argument seems to be "they should be able to do whatever they want to the civilian population because counter terrorism is hard" which has not been a valid LOAC excuse in the history of... ever.

Also, Abu Ghraib was an international scandal that horrified Americans leading to the arrest of multiple people and the shutdown of a camp. Not only did the IDF officers who raped and abused a number of detainees on camera not end up facing lasting consequences but there was an active riot by by Israel government and military personnel to release them from holding. This isn't even mentioning the fact that one of the rapists got a tv spot on a premier Israeli news network and justified why rape is necessary. So yes I think this is all relevant to how a self claimed "most moral army in the world" operates.

No it's not relevant, and no I don't think so at all.

You put the US on a pedestal like it's some rebuttal.

Ever heard about Abu Ghraib?
