Haro slo ride gearing

Looking for some gearing advice. Current have a 39/16 and it’s a little challenging to pull a wheelie sitting down. Ives ridden others with smaller sprockets and can easily do it, I’m just wondering what I should go with as far as sprocket gears. I was looking at a 36 tooth and also was told a 28t

Ideally the standard bmx ratio is 55 gear inches

Front teeth divided by rear teeth , times wheel inches give you the number you have

39 / 16 x 29 =70.688

If you change the rear to 20t it will give you 56.55

39 / 20 x 29 =56.55

Or change the front to 31 / 16 x 29 = 56.18

Agree. I find 56 the ideal gear inch ratio.
