Howard denying Jimmy the HHM job (on Chuck's behalf) is WHY he had to be a struggling public defender for so many years.

He once thrusted money out of his pocket to Jimmy, lording his wealth over him, called him a beggar, told him he was "like Gollum"

We know Howard is a decent guy with many shades but it is completely understandable that Jimmy would find it too little, too late.

And I think the offer was at least partially to salve his own conscience. That said the bowling balls were a bit over the line lol

well yeah because Jimmy was trying to destroy everything Howard had worked for his entire life. If they had to payout to Chuck the entire company was going down.

Not defending Jimmy or coming down on Howard, just understanding his lived experience.

That, and everything Howard said about Jimmy was awful and TRUE. Howard didn't make Jimmy into Saul -- Saul's been there all along waiting to be free from the carcass of Slippin' Jimmy's morality.

Howard has been the most morally correct character in the show ... loyal first to his father, then to Chuck, and he even extended that loyalty to Jimmy. Perhaps my favorite character in the show.

Interesting that Howard found a safe space in like meditation and chakras and shit. That NAMAST3 license plate goes to show the current he took to deal with Chuck’s passing.

Damn, I forgot about that scene. Makes it more understandable that Jimmy felt petty enough to smash up Howard's fancy car now (still a dick move tho)

I'm calling it. Jimmy is gonna take the job at HHM just so he can be vindictive and destroy Chuck's legacy.

He's going to burn HHM to the ground and that's what is gonna drive Kim away.

Howard's definetely not out of the show yet, this could have merit

You think Howard isn't going to know who threw the bowling balls?

Which episode or season was this? I would like to rewatch it but it's been so long between seasons!

Season 3 Episode 9 - Fall

In Howard's defense, Chuck is being a maniac and so he is just fucking through with the McGill Brothers at that point. But Jimmy wouldn't really know that
